Artwork Guide

We accept the following file formats and following but don´t worry if your file is not represented. Feel free to call us on 08701 417 270 or email us at sales@aspectwear.co.uk

Files can either be sent through as vectors or bitmaps. Vectors are our preferred format since the design is infinitely scalable since it is made up of areas of colour and lines. Bitmaps on the other hand are normally associated with pictures and are made up of squares called pixels.

If you choose to send artwork to us as vectors then please convert all text to outlines (in illustrator or indesign), curves (in corel), or paths (in freehand). This ensures that no matter what the font, it will be represented the same on your garments.

If you choose to send bitmap artwork please ensure that the resolution is 300dpi (dots per inch) and that the scale is correct for print. If you are using Photoshop, then we would prefer it if you do not merge or flatten the layers so we can retain the transparency.

Colours

For Screen Printing we are able to print in Pantones™, the internationally recognised standard for colour accuracy. If you do not use this method do not worry BUT all artwork must be in CMYK.

For Transfer Printing there is a lower level of choice and as such we will ensure that we let you know the closest colours available for you. All artwork should be supplied in CMYK.

For Embroidery we use thread references and they will be distinct to every thread manufacturer but we attempt to match these as close as possible to Pantone™ references.

For Sublimation Printing we print in CMYK Process and the result should match the original closely although this will be dependant upon how much polyester is in the garment.

This list represents the programs and file formats we are comfortable using. Although if the format or file is not listed then please contact us at sales@aspectwear.co.uk in order to fix this. If you would like us to design the artwork from scratch please contact Andy at design@brandaspect.com for a comprehensive quote.
